Admission

ELIGIBILITY

  • The students, who have passed the Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Examination or any other examination recognized by the board as equivalent there to, are eligible for admission to the Two- year Pre- University Course.
  • Every candidate for admission must be introduced in person by the parent who will be responsible for the student and his conduct.
  • No candidate shall be admitted except on application in the prescribed form signed by the parent/guardian. Actual admissions will be made by the Principal after a personal interview. The application form may be obtained from the college office.
  • Students migrating from schools outside Karnataka will be admitted on producing of a school leaving certificate duly countersigned by the respective District Education Officer. An eligibility certificate for students coming from abroad has to be obtained from the Pre- University Board.

ADMISSION

  • Application forms for admission obtained from the college office should be filled in with all particulars in the applicant’s own handwriting.
  • All particulars called for in the application form must be filled without any omissions.
  • The forms must be registered in the college office within five days of the announcement of Karnataka SSLC results. Candidates should not wait for the official Marks Card; the provisional marks given by the SSLC Board available in the school, where the candidate has studied are entered in the application form. Once the last date for registration is crossed, returning of the forms will not be entertained.
  • Those who receive intimation should bring with them the following documents in original, if they are available.
    • The intimation letter and the Prospectus
    • Marks card/SSLC certificate/Provisional Marks Card
    • Transfer Certificate
    • Conduct Certificate from the institution last attended
    • Caste Certificate for SC/ST/Category I
    • Four copies of recent Passport size photo and one stamp size photo in an envelope.
    • Adhaar Card
  • Students who are finally selected should pay the fees immediately. The fees will not be refunded under any circumstances. The selected students who do not pay the fees or after paying the fees do not attend classes for five consecutive days will forfeit their seats/fees. Non-payment of fee in time will attract penal fee.
  • Students who are found to have obtained admission by false representation will be summarily dismissed with forfeiture of all fees.
  • All the students should note that it is important to attend maximum number of classes. Otherwise it will be difficult for the students to comprehend the subject.
  • Once admitted the students are expected to start early from home so as to reach the college in time every day. Frequent reasons like road block, missing the bus/train etc will not be entertained as it will lead to attendance shortage/indiscipline.
  • The students are expected to develop social responsibility and civic sense. They should take care of facilities/infrastructures provided and should make use of them judicially. Damage to college property in any form should be avoided and to be made good individually or collectively, cleanliness both in the classroom as well as outside should be maintained.
