Inauguration of NSS Unit“The service of NSS volunteers to the society, mother earth and humanity willbe rewarded with interest of tenfold by God” – Mr Gerard Towers.Milagres PU College, Hampankatta, Mangalore inaugurated its NSS unit for theacademic year 2022-23 on 4th August 2022. Around 110 NSS volunteersgathered in the PU College auditorium.Mr Gerard Towers, Activist & Social worker, Mangaluru was the Chief Guestand he inaugurated the NSS unit by watering the plant. In his inaugural addresshe gave an insight about various activities to be conducted by NSS Unit, and hesaid service of NSS volunteers to the society, mother earth and humanity will berewarded with interest of tenfold by God. He also gave live instances from hisexperience as activist and social worker to prove the same.Rev. Fr Bonaventure Nazareth ,Correspondent, Milagres EducationalInstitutions, presided over the inaugural programme and then in his presidentialaddress he said, all the NSS volunteers should take active part in co-curricularactivities of the college. Principal Mrs Juliet P Pinto administered the NSS Oathto the volunteers. NSS programme officer Mr Kiran Dsouza , Lecturer inEnglish, welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest.The programme was compered by NSS volunteer Miss Saniya and studentleader of NSS Unit Mr Pavan P Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
